Union Sacramento FC held its inaugural National Signing Day Celebration on Feb. 4, and is proud to announce the three current senior players who have committed to continuing their academic and soccer endeavors at the college of their choice.

  • Lizzie Merrill, BOCA 96G – Committed to Folsom Lake College (2013 & 14 Bay Valley Conference Champions);
  • Alyssa Herrman, BOCA 97G – Committed to California State University, Stanislaus (2014 West Region Champions); and
  • Geli Huettl, BOCA 97G – Committed to Dominican University of California.

These players have put a lot of time, energy and heart into their sport, position, team, club and their academic success. Union Sacramento FC is very proud of them and looks forward to following their collegiate careers.

This signing class has the distinction of being the last official BOCA Capital Athletic Soccer signing class (currently, the u14 – u19 teams are continuing to compete as BOCA through the end of their season), and the inaugural Union Sacramento FC signing class.

Also at the Signing Day Celebration, Union Sacramento FC announced its current juniors who have verbally committed as part of the 2016 recruiting class:

  • Annie Ware - California State University, East Bay Pioneers (soccer and track);
  • Bonnie Ford - University of Nevada Reno Wolf Pack;
  • Katelyn Chandler - University of the Pacific Tigers; and
  • Sarah Miller - Sonoma State University Seawolves.

Thank you to the families, teammates and coaches who attended this special event and congratulations to our Boca / Union Sacramento FC players and families who have signed and verbally committed!
